Account Manager (GTR1625)

Gecko Travel Recruitment are excited to be working with this wonderful Travel Company who are looking for an Account Manager to join their team.

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for growing sales through existing and new travel agency key accounts. You will be the face of the company within your region, committed to developing and implementing an effective sales and account management strategy.

This is a field-based role covering the Anglia region and would suit someone living in Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk or Cambridgeshire.

The role:

• Working closely with travel agency partners to grow sales 
• Planning and implementing a sales call plan, to visit travel agents in your region - new and existing
• Building long term relationships with both new and existing trade partners
• To analyse sales trends and market activity to ensure the business is not losing market share
• Identify travel requirements and developing an engaging travel program to new and existing travel agency partners
• Be the brand ambassador at industry events and conferences
• Carrying out regular webinars with key accounts in the region to continue building sales pipeline
• Organising and hosting client events and fam trips

You will have:

• Previous experience working in a similar Business Development role within the travel industry 
• You may be working in a travel agency setting, looking for a change
• Proven track record of strong sales performance
• Extensive travel systems and product knowledge
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours to attend early morning or late afternoon meetings along with attending travel events

 

 Additional information/benefits:

• Salary £25-30,000 plus commission (OTE up to £35,000)
