Gecko Travel Recruitment are delighted to be working with this innovative travel business who are recruiting a Country Manager to join their team to be based in Budapest or Prague.
As Country Manager you will be responsible for managing and ensuring smooth operations by allocating and monitoring team workloads daily. The Country Manager responds efficiently and adaptively to operational challenges, ensuring that service standards and KPIs are consistently met.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in incoming tour operations or DMCs, who has experience in product or hotel procurement, who possesses strong knowledge of suppliers, and preferably has some team management experience.
The role:
- Building and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders by gaining a deep understanding of their business
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring smooth operations across all destination operations and procurement teams
- Delivering regular reports and attending management meetings to provide valuable feedback
- Recruiting, training, developing, and inspiring your team
- Conducting regular one to one meetings with your team where you will address performance issues and growth opportunities
- Responsible for overseeing the recruitment process within your department
You will have:
- Proven experience in operations within the travel industry
- Incoming tour operator/ DMC background
- Strong understanding of internal procedures, systems, and process management
- Good knowledge of travel suppliers
- Ability to oversee the offices based in Czech Republic, Prague and Hungary
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
