Operations Manager - Mexico City or Panama (GTR1672)

 

Gecko Travel Recruitment are delighted to working with our Youth Tour Operator client as they continue their worldwide expansion. We are recruiting for an Operations Manager based in Mexico City, as the Operations Manager you will be the first hire in this region and will be responsible for building the North, Central and South America operations team for two brands, escorted touring and student travel.

Reporting into the Heads of Operations for the two brands, you will also draw on your peers around the world for support and guidance.

This is remote based role in Mexico City or Panama.

The role:

• Taking ownership of the Americas touring program (North, Central & South America)
• Responsible for building and developing the operations team
• Utilising your knowledge of the market to develop exceptional adventure touring and educational experiences for youth travelers
• To source and train in market tour leaders
• Managing the Americas budget

You will have:

• At least 5 years experience working for a Tour Operator or DMC
• Knowledge of youth travel, to include Adventure touring and Student Travel
• Strong management skills
• A good knowledge of the Americas region
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Be based in either Mexico City or Panama
