Travel Operations Coordinator (GTR1603)

Gecko Travel Recruitment are super excited to be working with this award winning tour operator who are hiring a Travel Operations Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Sales & Operations Manager, you will act as their number two and be responsible for supporting a small team of Operations Executive. This team are on the front line for customers post reservation, as the Travel Operations Coordinator you will offer support and advice to the team to ensure the delivery of their itinerary is seamless.

The role:

• To support a small team of Operations Executives, offering training when required
• To cross check booking to ensure that all bookings are correct prior to invoices and itineraries are dispatched
• To oversee the management of rotas to ensure the correct number of staff are covering all customer communication points (chat, email & phone)
• Maximising revenue through additional touch points with the customer to offer enhancements to their trip.
• Communicating effectively with the team to ensure objectives are set and keeping the Sales and Operations Manager in the picture
• Liaising with suppliers to  ensure reservations are booked correctly, and being manage any stop sales or cancellations.

You will have:

• Previous customer service/sales or operational experience working within a tour operator is essential 
• A passion for ski/winter sports (essential)
• Supervisory experience (desirable)
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly proficiency using Microsoft Excel

• Salary £28,000 - £30,000 plus Bonus
