Gecko Travel Recruitment are excited to be working with this Travel Business in Hertfordshire who are looking for a Customer Service and Admin Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

As Customer Service and Admin Specialist you will ensure a seamless travel experience for our clients from start to finish. You will be the friendly voice and meticulous mind addressing post-booking queries, effortlessly guiding travelers through any changes, and ensuring their plans are updated and executed flawlessly.

Your focus will be on delivering outstanding service that upholds our company's reputation for excellence so previous experience in customer service within travel is essential to be considered for this role.

The role:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for assistance and handling of any customer service-related issues
  • Providing exceptional customer service, addressing post-booking enquiries with timely and effective resolutions
  • Accurately entering bookings into the internal system and making any necessary amendments
  • Handling the secure and precise processing of customer payments
  • Managing schedule changes proactively, informing customers of any alterations and rebooking as required to meet their needs
  • Issuing tickets for bookings, ensuring all travel documents are correct, complete, and dispatched in a timely manner

You will have:

  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience in the travel industry (essential)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills
  • Galileo GDS experience (advantageous)
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Strong computer system skills
