Senior Africa Sales Specialist (GTR)

Gecko Travel Recruitment are delighted to be working with this wonderful Tour Operator who are looking for a Senior Africa Sales Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

As Africa Sales Specialist you will take on a pivotal role in propelling revenue growth, while also influencing the development of our sales model and culture. You will design and deliver tailor-made trips across Africa and as you will not be responsible for any post-booking support, you have free reign to focus on purely selling and hitting your sales targets.

At least 3 years experience in a similar Africa Sales role is essential to be considered for this vacancy.

The role:

• Prepare and present travel itineraries to Africa
• Take ownership of your sales pipeline to achieve your monthly sales targets
• Exceed expectations for customers by providing value that goes above and beyond what our competitors offer
• Work with our international partners to design the perfect trip for our customers
• Assist with identifying operational enhancements across the sales process
• Add value to every customer's booking journey by providing useful and insightful information every step of the way

You must have:

• Minimum 3 years experience in b2c Africa travel sales
• Excellent knowledge of Africa as a destination (specifically Tanzania, Kenya & Uganda) is advantageous
• Exceptional communication skills both over the phone and in writing
• Willingness to go the extra mile to close a deal
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Natural ability to build relationships

Additional information/benefits:

• Salary circa £40-60,000 on target earnings (£38,000 basic with an additional performance-based bonus)
• Fully remote
